Deep Purple - Smoke On The Nation Halifax Poster
I've always loved Deep Purple, and I got to see them back in '85 on their Perfect Strangers come back tour. When I heard they were coming to Halifax I thought what better way to weasel my way backstage and meet them than with a printed poster. It worked, and in the process I was able to help out at a charity auction with a signed print which fetched $400.00!
Jackie (right) (who also bears a striking resemblance to Deep Purple drummer, Ian Paice) was the winner of the autographed Halifax poster. Jackie's winning bid of $400.00 was the highest auctioned amount of the evening. All going to a good cause.
